Sheva was a rare exception. Seeing as her mind was unpleasantly troubling her that morning, the shepherd mix found herself treading the well-worn path up to a foreboding building. The beauty of the summer morning was well apparent- the low fog lingering over every surface, the sky as bright and blue as a robin's egg, with birds sounding out their glorious songs through the still air. The beauty of nature was lost on Sheva, however. She was a dog on a mission, and she was going to get to the cove no matter what it took. She, contrary to popular belief, hated summer with a passion- it was the fact that her fur was long and thick, trapping her body heat. Letting a sigh of relief escape her maw as the entrance to the building (or at least what she assumed was the entrance) came into view, Sheva picked up the pace, her long legs kicking up mounds of dirt as she neared the foreboding work of humankind. She had been here once, many months ago, but the memory was awfully blurred in her brain. It would do her well to visit here again and see what other canines were lurking about the area. Sheva could always use new suckers to manipluate, after all, and there had been a recent shortage of those.
Cautiously entering the structure, she let her eyes slowly adjust to the dim light of the hallways, noting the twisting and turning tunnels which ran through its depths. Sheva decided that she wouldn't be stupid enough to try and follow any of them- after all, she could get stuck down one of them, and the Legion would be without a Legatus, Charon without a student. And she most certainly did not want that to happen. Staring down at the skeletons littering the floor with a bemused glance, Sheva shook her head in a half-mocking gesture of sadness. Maybe if humans weren't such dim-witted creatures, they could have found a way out of the buildings. But alas, they could not, and so they had perished in the twisting caverns. A canine would never let that happen to them- a canine would be smart enough to find a way out, for they knew how to battle against the elements, how to battle against death itself. A human would just panic and in turn lead itself to its inevitable fate. Smirking, Sheva began a slow circle around the building. She lifted her brown nose to the air, deeply inhaling a few times in quick succession to try and pick up any lingering canine scents in the area.
