general rules
- Respect is key. Respect your administration, and fellow members. This includes guests!
- Maturity. And I quote: act your age, not your shoe size. For whatever reason is causing you to have a tantrum, don't. Just, don't. If you have a problem, take it up with me or my staff, privately.
- Cussing is allowed, I do not give two shits about your language, as long as it is not offensively directed toward someone else. This is a privilege, do not take advantage of it.
- Spamming is a no-no! Please refrain from double posting, or blowing up the cbox.
- No advertising what-so-ever. This should only be done within the advertising board, or via PM.
- Activity is essential. Try to check in AT LEAST two times a week. Post as frequently as you can. If you are going to be gone for a long period of time, please let us know by posting in the Absence board.
- Drama is not welcomed here. If you have any issues or disputes out of character, please keep it away from the public eye or in PMs. I am not your baby sitter, I am not your mother, let's keep it classy people.
- Chat speak makes babies explode. Get it? Got it. Don't use it, don't wanna see it. Thanks.
- One account per user. It's just that simple.
- Have fun, make friends, be kind and welcoming.
- Avatars can not exceed 160px, there is not a set limit on how long it can be, but please don't make it to long! Signatures may not exceed 500px. As stated up above keep your fellow co-members in you mind. Would you want to scroll down a whole page just to read a post? No, so why do it to your friends.
character rules
- Follow the character form as provided when creating a new character and wait for it's approval by a staff member to start playing it. Copyrighted images will not be tolerated. Get permission first, or use stock images.
- You have one week from the day you join to create a character and have it accepted. If you fail to do so your account will be suspended and possibly deleted.
- So far there is no limit on the number of characters one user may have, just please don't overload yourself. At this point you may have as many as you can keep active. Choose your characters wisely.
- There will be no perfect characters. Mary-sues will be rejected, as will purely evil or purely good characters. They are plane boring and unrealistic. Let's have some variety people, make it interesting.
- No unrealistic eye or fur coloration/patterns. Things such as irregular eye color can be purchased in the shop.
- Your dog cannot fly, it cannot morph into something else, and it cannot read people's minds. Okay? No super powers.
- Adornments such as collars and tags may be acceptable, assuming your character was once a house pet before the disaster, in that case they would over eight years old. Bandanas and such would have more likely been torn off.
- This is not a rule, more of a friendly suggestion. I highly encourage making characters over the age of four. I tend to see a lot of people making young'ns, thinking they will be more interesting. Let me assure you, a six year old dog is not old, if anything they have more experience and a better chance of surviving
- I know histories tend to be a bit draining, therefore they are not mandatory, but encouraged. I'm not really into the whole dramatic, heart catching past about how your dog was beaten and everyone they knew died... no, come on now. Make it bit more in depth and detailed if you're going to write about that. As many of the dogs will have been born on the island, it is also quite possible that some dogs found there way here from other areas. Whether they were abandoned or just lost, they could easily have crossed the bridge on a low tide. Keep this in mind~
roleplaying rules
- NO powerplaying, godmodding, and all that superhuman stuff. It does not happen in the real world, it will not happen here. If you don't know what these terms mean, it is likely that this forum is too advanced for you.
- We welcome all levels of roleplayers here, intermediate and up are encouraged, however beginners are welcome as long as they keep to the rules like everyone else. If you have any questions feel free to bring it to my, or a staff members, attention.
- Liquid time is acceptable! Please don't take advantage of this, and don't have one character in so many threads at once that it is impossible for you to keep up. Manage your threads wisely.
- Wolf-speak. NOOO. NO NO NO. Say it with me, NO. Once again, if your unfamiliar with this term, this forum might not be for you.
- Spell Check - - Use it. Grammar is also important.
- The word minimum is currently 200 words per IC post.
- Violence is allowed, but please keep the graphic-ness to a minimum. Again with the powerplaying rule though, and you may not kill another character without the owner's permission.
- Graphic birthing and breeding - no. Just no.
- Rape of a character is allowed, however the other character's owner must approve of it before-hand. Again, no graphic nonsense.
